Trans Rights Readathon
I am participating in the Trans Rights Readathon. I wanted all the books in March to be books that fell under the Trans umbrella, but I had several books already started at the end of February that went into March. They all were LGBTQ+ books, but mostly just MM books as that is the place where my brain can escape the easiest, but I am enjoying the trans representation books I have started and finished.
My love would enjoy that there are so many books that have transgender representation and so many out transgender authors now days too. When she was alive just almost 6 years ago - it was harder to find books. Then go back to 2016 when she first came out to me - even harder.
When I was going through my To-Be-Read(TBR) lists, I found that I had much more on my list that were by transgender authors or have trans representation as main characters. I did add to new books to the list though that I found through prompts StoryGraph had for the Trans Rights Readathon. Always glad I can expand my reading list.
Here is what I posted on Instagram for the Trans Rights Readathon. I hope to do at least a little book review of each book I read, but that might be more than my chronically ill self can handle so I will take it day to day as usual.
